Description

We are looking for an organized and enthusiastic Event Coordinator Intern to join our team and help us plan and execute various events. You will be responsible for assisting with event logistics, and communication, as well as providing administrative support to the Event Manager. This internship will start in August 2024.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of planning and execution of internal events
  • Update event timelines and assist with project management using Asana
  • Coordinate event logistics including room-setup, audio/visual and food and beverage needs
  • Maintain inventory of event department supplies
  • Provide on-site support during events, such as setting up, tear down and troubleshooting
  • Proactively communicate with event organizer and attendees, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Conduct post-event evaluation and feedback surveys
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Event Manager
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Current or recent graduate in Event Management, Marketing, Communication, or related field
  • Previous experience or interest in event planning and coordination
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
