Test Technician

In the role ofTest Technician,you are part of a small team that is building and testing cutting edge turbo machinery technology. ACMTC is a custom, built to order environment where you'll continually build and test new products each day.

The compensation for this position is based on skill. The pay range for a Test Technician is $26.11per hour to $32.19 per hour. What you will own & improve:

  • Assembly of components
  • Accurate and concise record keeping
  • Maintenance of test tooling and equipment
  • Measurements using precise measuring tools and techniques.
  • The setup and tear down of testing equipment
  • Testing procedures and work instructions
  • Operating testing equipment to preform testing activities.

What we expect of you:

  • You have mechanical aptitude and experience working as a mechanic or in a related mechanical assembly position
  • You have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • You have basic arithmetic skills
  • You have experience with hand tool and small machine tools
  • You have experience with measuring tools and testing equipment.
  • You are able to communicate effectively (speak, write and read) in English.
  • You have basic knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams and Excel).
  • You have demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, are a self-starter with a positive make-happen attitude.
  • You can work in a professional manner in front of customers and inspectors.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must pass pre-employment background, drug, and alcohol screening, and participate in Company's Random-Drug Screening program.

What you will learn (if you don't know already):

  • How to read assembly blueprints and electrical diagrams
  • How to operate and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • How to assemble turbo machinery
  • How to interface with PLC systems
  • How to trouble shoot complex electrical and mechanical systems
  • How to balance components using Hofmann balance machines
  • How to preserve basic maintenance levels and a safe work environment

How Success is measured:

  • Ability to setup and operate tests correctly
  • Continually improve testing knowledge and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Working Conditions

When in the factory, you must always wear steel toe-type boots or shoes and wear safety glasses. You must be able to work in a noisy, oily/dusty factory environment. If long hair is worn, then it must be tied up and kept safelyinside work shirt.

You will use a variety of tools and equipment , hand tools, air tools, grinders, forklifts, cranes, and measuring devices.

Essential Physical Tasks include; Able to push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs, unassisted. Able to walk & move about effectively in a Factory Facility. Able to communicate effectively in English (including the ability to read Safety Signage).

About the Team:

This role reports to the Test Department Supervisor. You will work as an integral part of a team of a team of about 4 technicians. Interactions with the Engineering, Assembly and Fabrication departments are common.
