Foth Production Solutions works closely with consumer product companies to solve their toughest technical challenges. We partner with clients to help streamline their capital spending and business decision process, enable operational efficiencies, and launch new products. Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Structural Engineer who has a desire to contribute to our clients' success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of our Green Bay, WI, or Mehoopany, PA office location.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and manage structural discipline project members.
  • Coordinate with other project disciplines as required.
  • Estimate structural engineering hours for proposals.
  • Prepare budgets and schedules.
  • Interface with the client.
  • Develop calculations, plans, and specifications for industrial structures.
  • Evaluate structural capacity of existing structures.
  • Analyze and engineer structure modifications and additions, platforms, catwalks, material handling systems, equipment support, foundations, etc.
  • Use and manipulate 3D scanning and point cloud data
  • Obtain field measurements of existing structures
  • Write observation reports, installation scope documents, basis of design documents, etc.
  • Support construction as required.
  • Lead and direct other engineers and designers.
  • Coach and mentor others.
  • Develop engineering initiatives to improve current standards and processes.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews for other engineers and designers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (with a structural focus)
  • 10+ years of industry relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer License
Required Previous Experience:
  • Structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and design
  • Writing proposals, estimates, and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Experience
  • Providing consulting engineering and construction support in an industrial environment
  • Industrial building design
  • Tilt-up concrete wall design
  • Experience utilizing 3D design tools (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, VR, and 3D Scans)
  • RISA 3D and other Risa software
